Fitness Room Garage

Before: This new home had an unfinished garage floor and drywall. There is room to park 3 vehicles with plenty of additional space for storage.

After: The homeowners decide on adding a home gym area at the back of the garage where the entire family can workout. A new garage floor coating, cabinetry, and slatwall panels provide plenty of storage solutions.

Double Car Lift Garage

Before: This large unfinished garage was in desperate need of garage storage space. Putting the aisles of boxes into garage cabinets could free up a lot of floor space for parking vehicles.

After: A double car lift allows this car collector to store four vehicles in this section of the garage. Slatwall provides ample storage space on the walls. A Nightfall Floortex® floor coating and perimeter LED ribbon lighting transforms this garage into a showroom space.

Performance Garage

Before: This cluttered and unfinished garage is a common sight. Hanging vapor barrier and exposed framing studs left an unsightly look and there are no practical storage systems being used.

After: Post-makeover, the night and day difference in the garage’s appearance, level of organization, and overall feel is quite obvious. The brighter, cleaner, and modern-looking room is much more equipped to make a Ferrari look like it’s right where it was meant to be. Carbonite Floortex® floor coating, GL Custom Steel cabinets.

Audi R8 Garage

Before: This large, unfinished single-car garage has a new cement floor and unpainted drywall. Household items are shoved into the corners and could benefit from some garage storage options.

After: The floor and foundation walls were transformed with a Floortex® floor coating in Harbor Blue. Grey slatwall panels provide beautiful wall storage, accented with hidden LED lighting throughout. Custom-fit GL Signature cabinetry (Harbor Blue) keeps everything organized and clutter-free. Heavy-duty overhead storage racks hold 16 storage bins of seasonal items.

Garage Transformations

Before: Unfinished two-car garage in a new home.
After: GL Custom Steel cabinetry and Floortex® floor coating are in Harbor Blue. LED lighting (mounted under the slatwall panels) turn on when the garage door opens providing a nice custom touch.

Before: Unfinished garage in a high-end custom home. Floor is unfinished with a noticeable expansion joint that is precut so the floor can float.
After: The floor and foundation walls have a Nightfall Floortex® floor coating. GL Custom Steel cabinetry was used for wall to wall storage (silver finish with finger pull handles). Slatwall panels provides a clean look on the left side of the garage. It can also provide additional wall storage using hooks, racks, and baskets.

Before: Inexpensive melamine kitchen/laundry room cabinetry provided inadequate storage space.
After: A Floortex® floor coating in Nightfall was applied to the floor, foundation walls, a wide step and a custom kick plate below the cabinets. GL Premium cabinetry in silver and granite provide storage. A new sink, faucet, stainless steel counter top and diamond plate backsplash were added. The central vac was moved to the left and slatwall panels were added to all the walls.

Before: This large, single car garage had several open shelves and plastic bins but still appeared untidy.
After: GL Custom Steel cabinetry with a workbench system and a butcher block countertop provide ample storage and organization. Deep lockers accommodate the larger items. The flooring is done with a Khaki Floortex® floor coating. The walls and ceiling were primed and painted. Old ceiling hooks and shelving systems were removed prior to installation.
Before: This fairly new garage had some height limitations on the back wall which was used for HVAC.
After: Nightfall Floortex® floor coating was used on the floors. GL Custom Steel cabinets with a red high gloss finish, butcher block counter top and diamond plate backsplash were installed. A locker on the right wall provides storage for larger items.
Before: This two-car garage contained a couple of car lifts but inadequate storage made it difficult to keep organized. The flooring was damaged and needed refinishing.
After: GL Custom steel cabinetry provides a snug fit and maximizes the space on the back wall. A butcher block countertop and diamond plate backsplash provides a nice clean look. Cappuccino Floortex® floor coating was used on the floor after it was repaired.

Before: Unfinished two-car garage without proper storage space.
After: The floor and foundation walls have a Floortex® coating in Sedona. A taupe slatwall is used throughout making it easy to hang baskets and hooks where needed. A GL Custom Steel cabinetry system was installed with lockers and a work station which features a stainless steel countertop, diamond plate backsplash and a valance light bar. The entire garage was painted as well and the wiring along the ceiling was cleaned up.

Before: This is a large two-car garage that required a lot of storage.
After: The floor is finished with a Floortex® floor coating in Sedona. Large lockers and uppers with stainless steel pulls provide plenty of storage space (GL Custom Steel cabinetry). Overhead storage racks and slatwall panels provide additional storage space. The entire garage was also painted.

Before: Unfinished two-car garage in a new home.
After: Garage was primed and painted. The floor was finished with a Khaki Floortex® floor coating. The temporary wooden steps were replaced with precast concrete steps and given the same coating as the floor. Installed slatwall panels to a height of 6 feet around the perimeter of the garage which provides a lot of flexibility for future storage and organization. A hose reel was installed in the back left corner with a couple of shelves. Beside the central vac are a couple of wire baskets with some mesh baskets below. Small GL Signature cabinetry system – two uppers and two bases with a stainless steel counter top.

Before: This three-car garage was full of boxes and artwork prior to the renovation.
After: The cabinets were custom fit into the alcove on the back wall (GL Custom Steel cabinetry featuring black shells and silver doors). The central vac system was concealed in one of the storage lockers. Slatwall panels and hooks provide additional storage. The flooring is done with a Quicksilver Floortex® floor coating.
Before: This is a typical unfinished two-car garage without any storage solutions.
After: GL Premium cabinetry in silver and granite was installed. The flooring and a custom kick plate for the cabinets was finished in a Quicksilver Floortex® floor coating. A stainless steel countertop and slatwall panels provide a clean finish to the space.
Before: Thig garage had unusually configured space with inadequate storage.
After: GL Custom Steel cabinets and lockers were custom fit into the unique footprint of the garage to maximize storage space. A stainless steel countertop, diamond plate backsplash and custom kick plate were installed. Blue and gun metal colour used in cabinetry to match the client's vehicle colours. A shallow cabinet was inset below the counter to allow for a stool to placed there.

Before: Unfinished two-car garage in a new home.
After: The floor, foundation walls and steps have a Floortex® floor coating in Nightfall. A GL Custom Steel cabinetry system and workbench were installed with a valance light bar, diamond plate backsplash and stainless steel counter top. Slatwall panels provided additional storage space. The central vac was moved higher up the wall to provide more space. A heater was installed in the top left corner. The walls and ceiling were primed and painted.

Before: A large three-car garage in need of proper storage and organization.
After: The floor was redone with a Pebble Beach Floortex® floor coating. GL Custom Steel cabinetry with a granite shell and tan door provides plenty of storage including a TV cabinet. Some custom work was required around the lower windows. Several fluoresent lights were installed. An extra large cabinet by the door is used to store a standing Christmas tree.

Before: This garage was completely rebuilt from the ground up. Approximate size is 1,600 sq.ft. and can accommodate several cars.
After: Garage Living installed all of the drywall, primed and painted the garage. The flooring colour is a Pebble Beach Floortex® floor coating. Features gun metal gray cabinets (GL Custom Steel) with a butcher block counter top, stainless steel pulls and a diamond plate backsplash. The right corner features an inside/outside corner cabinet with a sink below. Other features are a TV cabinet, the lockers on the left have custom cutouts to the electrical panels. Before: This is a classic example of old kitchen cabinets being repurposed in a two-car garage. It’s an inexpensive and often temporary solution.
After: The cabinetry was replaced with GL Custom Steel cabinetry that can store golf bags and other sporting equipment. A khaki slatwall panels provides wall-mounted storage for a hose reel, baskets and hooks. New lights were installed and the garage was given a fresh coat of paint.
Before: This is a tight two-car garage in the city in need of a storage system.
After: GL Premium cabinetry fit on both sides of the door without any customization. Stainless steel counter tops and valance lighting provide a suitable work space. Khaki Floortex® floor coating was used on the floors and a taupe slatwall panels provide additional storage options on the side walls.
