Garage Living Austin Reviews from Local Homeowners

If you’re even thinking about upgrading your garage, stop researching and just call Tom Rutledge at Garage Living Austin. We recently finished building a new home and wanted the garage to feel just as intentional and functional as the rest of the house—and they absolutely delivered. From day one, their team approached the space as a full transformation, not just a few cabinets or shelves. They helped us imagine everything from the floor to the ceiling to maximize storage, organization, and overall usability. The design process was incredibly thoughtful—they really listened to how we live and what we needed to store, then built a system around that. The finished result is honestly better than we envisioned. The flooring completely elevated the look of the space, and the custom cabinetry and storage solutions gave everything a place without feeling cluttered. What stood out most was the attention to detail and professionalism throughout the entire process. Installation was smooth, communication was consistent, and the end product feels high-end and built to last. Our garage went from an afterthought in a brand-new build to one of the most functional and impressive spaces in our home. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Can't say enough about the folks at Austin-based Garage Living. Super helpful, super friendly, super responsive and very, very easy to work with. Colt handled the installation and did an outstanding job. Zack was our sales rep and did a marvelous job working out the design and keeping things on track. Thomas handled our order for accessories and had them on our doorstep the same day we ordered them. And we're confident they'll have our backs if we need anything in the future.

We had an excellent experience with Garage Living from start to finish. They installed a new garage floor along with storage cabinets, and the results are even better than we expected. The quality of the work is outstanding and they completely transformed our space. Zach Jude was amazing to work with, he made everything easy and ensured the project ran smoothly from the beginning all the way through completion. The install team was also fantastic. They showed up on time, kept everything clean, and paid close attention to detail throughout the entire installation. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and results and highly recommend Garage Living!

Couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out! Had Garage Living install 2 3x8 overhead storage racks and about 200 sqft of slatwall and what a transformation! Thomas was able to get us squeezed into the schedule and install took about just a full day. Colt our installer was fantastic with some last minute tweaks as well.

If you’re in Austin and thinking about upgrading your garage, I can’t say enough good things about Garage Living. Working with Thomas was honestly refreshing. The whole process was smooth, seamless, and professional — which feels rare these days. He showed up when he said he would, communicated clearly, and everything happened the way it was supposed to. No drama, no chasing people down. Just solid follow-through. Thomas had some great ideas on how to do the job the right way. Not overcomplicated, not flashy — just smart, practical suggestions that made the space work better. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. The cabinetry and garage rack are top quality. Everything feels sturdy and well built, and it completely changed how the garage looks and functions. All around, it was just a really good experience. I’d absolutely recommend Thomas and Garage Living to anyone looking to upgrade their space.

What a great experience with a garage remodel! Our garage now has a new and beautiful polyaspartic floor, slat walls all around, and beautiful Signature cabinets. The new garage is like night and day vs the old garage. Zach handled the plans and quote, organized his team, and the work crew was so thorough and meticulous with every aspect. So happy to have spent the money to make our garage look brand new! I highly recommend Garage Living! Thank you GL Team!

Highly recommend! This company is high quality and professional. We had some custom work done that took a little longer than anticipated but the end result is amazing and I especially appreciate that all staff took time to listen to our concerns and wants and helped create the best solution.

Had a an efficient and seamless experience with Garage Living. We had our old builder grade fluorescent lights changed to can lights, epoxy floor added, along with cabinets, counters and a full wall covering to hang all our tools. The installers were timely and provided great quality work. Now, it feels good to go in the garage! Everything is easy to locate and looks great. Highly recommend!
