HIS & HER GARAGE
BRYAN BAEUMLER GARAGE
Garage Living worked with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler to create “his and hers garages” for the The House of Bryan TV series on HGTV.
The connected garages in this contemporary country home needed to have style and function. We came up with a design that provides plenty of room for Bryan's tools and toys.
On Sarah’s side, there is an area for gardening equipment and plenty of room family storage – bikes, skis, camping gear etc. There is also room for boots, shoes, and jackets where the garage transitions into the home.
Two double car garages – his and hers. Cars provided by Garage Living.
The garage floor is finished in a Floortex® floor coating. Colour: Blue Nightfall. There are 15 floor colours to choose from.
The flooring was customized with interesting cut lines, centred around the wall cabinets (GL NEOS Elite custom steel cabinetry system).
Garage Living has many colour options for flooring, cabinets, and slatwall panels.
The modern design of the GL NEOS Elite hides all visual clutter. A custom wall panel behind the 1.5" stainless steel countertop provides a clean looking finish. Colour: Silver.
A 48" split tool drawer with 250 lb ball bearing sliders provides heavy duty storage. LED lighting, 24" upper storage cabinets, and lower storage cabinets featuring double walled doors on European hinges provide great storage.
Two 30" wide, full height storage lockers feature pull-out shelving with full extension glides.
The superior quality of the GL NEOS Elite system cabinetry uses powder coated, 16 gauge steel.
Diamond plate aluminum panels, 36" in height, were used as a wainscotting on all walls. Gray PVC slatwall panels cover the rest of the walls. Various hooks, bins, racks, and baskets provide additional storage on the walls and keep the floor free of clutter.
Scuba equipment can hang neatly on the walls to dry out when not in use.
Sarah’s garage also has a Flootex™ floor coating in Blue Nightfall which continues up the sidewalls to cover the baseboard.
Gray PVC slatwall panels cover all of the walls.
Shelving, hooks and racks provide a place to put boots and jackets before entering the home.
To the right of door, every family member has a rack to organize their shoes. This helps to keep the entranceway clear.
A modular cabinetry system provides ample storage for items that don’t get used every day. 4 GL Premium Cabinets in silver/granite.
The extra large lockers provide adequate space for bulky items. All components are made with powder coated, welded steel construction.
Each locker can accommodate large items such as a cooler. Magnetic door latches are standard.
Various camping gear is kept organized on each shelf. All shelves are adjustable.
Slatwall hooks provide tidy storage for larger items like fishing rods and nets.
Slatwall storage helps to keep the gardening tools and supplies, organized and easy to find.
Sporting equipment that is used regularly or is over-sized can be organized on the wall. This keeps the garage floor free of clutter and easy to clean with a quick rinse and a squeegee.
As the family’s storage needs change, the slatwall storage can be reconfigured easily.
