It can take as little as one day for Garage Living of Jacksonville to complete your flooring project. Each morning at approximately 8:30, our workers arrive on-site. The customer is greeted and we review our process with them and answer any questions, then our crew gets right to work. Garage Living of Jacksonville’s trucks are outfitted as mobile workshops with the equipment and materials capable of dealing with any on-site challenge. Our professional Floortex™ floor coating application process is outlined by The Garage Living 5 Steps.
Hairline cracks in concrete pads will naturally occur. To fix this, the cracks need to be opened using a diamond cutting wheel and then filled with a polyurea joint filler. Once the filler has cured in 10–15 minutes, the Garage Living of Jacksonville crew grinds down the excess so that the floor is completely smooth and any cracks are now invisible.
The 2-component mix also includes pigment that matches our customer’s choice of pre-blended vinyl chips. The crew first rolls the base coat on all vertical surfaces and then applies the base coat to the entire floor surface.
To ensure 100% coverage, we broadcast three times the amount of material onto the floor. 60 minutes is required for the coating to cure. A smooth and even surface is achieved after we scrape the floor using a flat metal-edge tool that removes any standing flakes.
For a thick and even finish, the top coat is applied by a squeegee and then back rolled to create an even and consistent finish. The top coat requires 8 hours to cure for foot traffic and 24 hours for vehicles.
